| SCOPE: |
| |
| ● |
Produced in two styles: Globe pattern (straight 180o) and Angle pattern (90o) |
| |
| ● |
The needle thread of 24 pitch provides five turns from closed to full-open. |
| |
| ● |
The single PTFE seal is located below the thread thereby isolating the thread and topwork subassembly from the fluid media |
| |
| ● |
Hand-tightening the cap (gland) compensates for any seal wear. |
| |
| ● |
Chemical resistance and purity levels are as recommended for the base materials. |

| CHEMICAL RESISTANCE CONSIDERATION: |
| |
| Because only the body, needle and the Teflon® seal contact the fluid media; and PTFE is for practical purposes immune to attack; the needle and body are all we must consider. No elastomers, metals or other secondary materials are involved in the question of suitability for a service. You need apply only the basic material in your evaluation - using standard industry charts, experience or tests performed in your system or labs. The high purity rating of this valve is of the same basis that provides the resistance to chemical attack. To visit a Chemical Compatability Database, please click here. |

| SERVICE: |
| |
| Inspection or service of the valve is simply accomplished by loosening the cap and withdrawing the entire topwork sub-assembly from the body. The topwork sub-assembly is interchangeable between 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" Angle or Globe pattern in a common material type. |
| |
| Each valve is packed with installation instructions including a parts list, mounting information and general technical data of interest to the user. |

| PANEL MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS: |
| |
| Mounting Template: |
| |
| The template provided, outlines the hole and orientation slots for the panel or bracket, where required. The orientation slots may be cut in multiple positions to allow versatility in mounting the valve to accommodate the piping alignment requirements. |
| |
| Panel thickness of .031" to .500" are accepted range, thinner or thicker sizes can be handled by shims or modifications. |
| |
| Mounting Valves: |
| |
| To relieve strain on the system and its components, the Marquest valve can be mounted on a panel or bracket in the following manner: After providing the proper hole to the “template dimensions,” it is necessary to remove the top work sub-assembly and panel nut from the body. It is not required or recommended to disassemble the top work sub-assembly for this purpose. The body is then inserted into the 1" hole, the panel nut secured, and the top work sub-assembly replaced. |
| |
| CAUTION: Care should be taken to back off or position the needle sufficiently so that it will not engage the seat while tightening the “cap” on reassembly. |
